Dotdotdot has reimagined the Museo Naturalistico Minà Palumbo in Castelbuono, Sicily, through a holistic design approach that bridges 19th-century scientific heritage with contemporary immersive technology. The new permanent display focuses on absolute accessibility, integrating tactile 3D-printed replicas and a proximity-based digital guide to ensure an inclusive journey. Featuring two spectacular digital dioramas—one dedicated to the biodiversity of the Madonie Park and the other to the intangible heritage of Manna cultivation—the project transforms a historical monastery into a living cultural organism where design, storytelling, and digital interaction converge.
