In the exhibition and display industry, teamLab has long been recognized as one of the world’s most representative digital art collectives. Renowned for breaking down the boundaries between art and technology, nature and audience, they create real-time generative works that immerse people in an ever-changing artistic ecosystem. For WeHow, teamLab’s creations are more than art installations—they stand as exemplary models of exhibition design and spatial storytelling.

2025年10月7日，teamLab 将在日本京都开幕全新常设馆「teamLab Biovortex Kyoto」。这不仅是 teamLab 在日本迄今规模最大的一座美术馆（超 1 万平方米），也是一场围绕“生命与涡流”展开的艺术实验。首批揭晓的 6 件作品，以动态生成、互动反馈与空间叙事，构成了一个全新的“生命宇宙”。
On October 7, 2025, teamLab will open its new permanent museum, teamLab Biovortex Kyoto, in Japan. Encompassing over 10,000 square meters, it will be teamLab’s largest museum in the country to date and a groundbreaking artistic experiment exploring the theme of “life and vortex.” The first six unveiled works feature dynamic generation, interactive feedback, and immersive spatial narratives, together forming an entirely new “universe of life.”

01. 无质量变形雕塑 / Massless Amorphous Sculpture

作品由肥皂、水与空气构成的气泡生成，一个巨大的漂浮形体从泡沫之海中诞生，悬浮于半空，既不下沉也不升起。它的轮廓模糊，会碎裂、合并，能自我修复，但若损坏超出极限便彻底消散。观众无法推动它，甚至风也能让其瓦解。
The work is composed of bubbles formed from soap, water, and air. From this sea of foam emerges a massive floating form, suspended in midair—neither rising nor falling. Its outline is indistinct; it fractures, merges, and can heal itself, yet once the damage exceeds its limits, it vanishes completely. Viewers cannot push it; even a breeze is enough to shatter it.

这件雕塑并非固体，而是由环境中能量秩序生成的“高阶雕塑”。它与环境共生，随之变化。泡泡膜与细胞膜结构相似，象征生命的基本单位。生命亦如涡流般存在于物质与能量的流动中，其边界模糊，凭借能量秩序维持。或许生命本身，正是流动中诞生的奇迹。
This sculpture is not a solid object but a “higher-order sculpture” generated by the energetic order of its environment. It coexists with and evolves alongside its surroundings. The bubble membrane resembles the structure of a cell membrane, symbolizing the fundamental unit of life. Like a vortex, life itself exists within the flow of matter and energy, its boundaries blurred, sustained only by energetic order. Perhaps life, at its core, is a miracle born from movement and flux.

02. 变形连续体 / Morphing Continuum

这是一个由无数气泡构成的沉浸式空间，仿佛置身于一片漂浮的泡沫海洋之中。 在这里，一个巨大的漂浮形体缓缓悬浮在半空，既不依附于地面，也不触及天花板，而是如同违背重力般稳定存在。
This is an immersive space made up of countless bubbles, as if one were surrounded by a floating ocean of foam. At its center, a massive form drifts slowly in midair—untethered to the ground, untouched by the ceiling—defying gravity yet remaining perfectly stable.

这个漂浮体的边界并不清晰，它不断变化、分裂，又重新聚合，仿佛在呼吸。观众可以走入其中，甚至完全沉浸在它的内部，但它依旧保持着自身的形态。即便受到干扰，它也会自行修复。然而，当外界施加的破坏超出其自我修复的能力时，它就会坍塌、消散，无法恢复。
The boundaries of this floating form are indistinct. It constantly shifts—splitting, merging, and reforming—as though it were breathing. Visitors can step inside it, even become fully immersed within, yet it continues to maintain its shape. When disturbed, it naturally repairs itself; but once external damage exceeds its capacity to recover, it collapses and vanishes irreversibly.

与石头、钢铁等由物质构成的固体不同，这件雕塑并不是由实体物质维持，而是由环境中能量的秩序塑造和支撑。正因如此，它被称为“高阶雕塑”。它依赖于空间中气泡所营造的特殊环境，与环境不可分割，并随着环境的变化而不断演化。
Unlike solids such as stone or steel, this sculpture is not sustained by physical matter. Instead, it is shaped and supported by the energetic order of its environment. For this reason, it is called a “higher-order sculpture.” It relies on the unique conditions created by the surrounding bubbles, inseparable from them, and evolves continuously as the environment itself changes.

这件作品挑战了我们对“雕塑”的传统理解：它不是固定不变的实物，而是一种由能量与环境共同孕育出的动态存在。它让人联想到生命本身——在不断的物质与能量流动中维持秩序，却又脆弱而短暂。
This work challenges the conventional notion of sculpture: it is not a fixed, immutable object, but a dynamic existence born from the interplay of energy and environment. It evokes the nature of life itself—maintaining order within the constant flow of matter and energy, fragile yet fleeting.

03. 鸟之道 / The Way of Birds

数十万只鸟群在空中翱翔，它们的运动轨迹既壮丽又神秘，仿佛汇聚成一个庞大的生命体。
Hundreds of thousands of birds soar through the sky, their flight paths both magnificent and mysterious, merging into the presence of a vast living entity.

在这件作品中，即使每一只鸟都在空间和时间中彼此分离，当它们形成某种秩序时，整体便被感知为一个超越时空的单一存在。无论外在形态或规模如何改变，甚至个体被替换，这份整体性依然得以维持，并被认知为同一个实体。
In this work, even though each bird exists separately in space and time, once they move in unison a greater order emerges—perceived as a single existence that transcends time and space. No matter how its outward form or scale changes, even as individual birds are replaced, this sense of wholeness remains, recognized as one and the same entity.

这种时空性的存在不同于物质本身，它揭示了超越物理世界的另一种可能。这件作品正是对这种“超越时空的整体存在”的艺术化呈现。
This mode of existence in time and space differs fundamentally from material objects; it reveals another possibility that transcends the physical world. This work is an artistic expression of that very idea—a vision of a “collective existence” that surpasses time and space.

04. 共鸣灯森：一笔一年 / Forest of Resonating Lamps: One Stroke – a Year in the Mountains

这件作品的灵感来自日本古代“重叠的色彩”文化：薄丝绸的层叠、经纬线的交织，产生出丰富的色彩层次，并被赋予季节的意象。
This work draws inspiration from Japan’s ancient culture of “layered colors,” where overlapping silks and interwoven threads created rich tonal variations imbued with seasonal imagery.

作品表面看似是随机排列的灯具，实际上它们依靠观众与他人的互动关系，形成一条持续延展的光之轨迹，呈现出“连续”本身的美。
At first glance, the piece appears to be a random arrangement of lamps. In reality, they respond to viewers and their interactions, together forming a continuous trajectory of light that embodies the beauty of continuity itself.

当人靠近时，最近的一盏灯会点亮并发出音色，光芒再依次传递到最近的下一盏灯。光线只会经过每盏灯一次，最终贯穿所有灯具，形成“一笔画”般的光之路径。与此同时，他人触发的光也会与之交错，共同编织出流动的光之连续。
As a person approaches, the nearest lamp illuminates and emits a tone. The light then passes sequentially to the next lamp, each only once, until the entire field is traversed in a single unbroken stroke. Meanwhile, light triggered by others intersects and weaves together, creating a flowing continuity of illumination.

这种看似随意的空间排列，实际上是基于数学逻辑的精密计算，确保灯光传播必然能以“一笔画”的方式遍历所有灯具。作品通过人与灯具的互动，让光线在空间中自由延续，既展现了人与他人之间的呼应，也表达了连续性与季节循环的美感。
What seems like a casual arrangement is in fact based on precise mathematical logic, ensuring the path of light will always cover all lamps in one continuous stroke. By engaging with the installation, visitors activate this endless circulation of light, reflecting not only the resonance between people but also the beauty of continuity and the cyclical nature of the seasons.

05. 共鸣灯森：一笔火焰 / Forest of Resonating Lamps: One Stroke – Fire

teamLab表面上，它是一片由无数灯具组成的光之森林，看似随意排列，实则遵循着严格的空间秩序。观众的存在成为触发的关键：当人们靠近时，最近的一盏灯会骤然点亮，散发出火焰般的色彩与音律，光芒随后传递至最近的下一盏灯，依次蔓延开来。
On the surface, this installation appears to be a forest of countless lamps, seemingly arranged at random yet in fact following a precise spatial order. The presence of viewers becomes the essential trigger: as someone approaches, the nearest lamp suddenly lights up, radiating flame-like color and sound. The glow then spreads sequentially to the next lamp, cascading throughout the space.

这种光的延续并非随机，而是基于数学逻辑的“一笔画”排列，使光轨迹能够只经过每盏灯一次，最终贯穿整个空间。由此产生的光之路径，不仅像火焰般摇曳、流动，更会与他人触发的光交错重叠，形成群体性的呼应。
This chain of illumination is not random, but based on mathematical logic—a “single-stroke” arrangement in which the light passes through each lamp only once, ultimately traversing the entire installation. The resulting paths of light sway and flow like fire, intersecting with those triggered by others to form a collective resonance.

这件作品展现了“连续”本身的美：灯与灯之间的传递象征人与人之间的关系，光的交织象征能量与存在的相互影响。它既是一个沉浸式的互动环境，也是 teamLab 探索人与自然、人与他者关系的诗意表达。
The work reveals the beauty of continuity itself: the passing of light from lamp to lamp symbolizes the connections between people, while their interwoven glow reflects the interplay of energy and existence. It is both an immersive interactive environment and a poetic exploration by teamLab of the relationships between people, nature, and one another.

06. 文字的永恒宇宙 / The Eternal Universe of Words

这件作品最初创作于 2021 年“祈祷”展期间（COVID-19 紧急状态下，以无观众形式呈现），是 teamLab 对精神性与空间感知的一次探索。
This work was first created in 2021 during the “Prayer” exhibition, held under COVID-19 restrictions and presented without an audience. It represents teamLab’s exploration of spirituality and spatial perception.

作品将空海（弘法大师）的书法化为无限延展的空间书写。文字在看似无边的宇宙中不断生成、扩展，每一个字都会发出对应的音律，而这些声韵彼此交织，汇聚成一段绵延不绝的吟唱。
The piece transforms the calligraphy of Kūkai (Kōbō Daishi) into an endlessly unfolding spatial script. Characters continuously emerge and expand within what seems to be an infinite universe, each producing its own sound. These tones overlap and intertwine, converging into a ceaseless chant.

观众可以选择坐下或躺下，在放松的状态中沉浸于这一场“声音与书写的宇宙”。它不只是视觉上的空间书法，更是听觉与精神的体验，象征着文字与文化在时间长河中永恒的流动。
Visitors are invited to sit or lie down, immersing themselves in this “universe of sound and writing” in a state of calm and reflection. It is more than visual spatial calligraphy—it is an auditory and spiritual experience, symbolizing the eternal flow of language and culture across time.

作为 teamLab 在日本迄今规模最大的常设馆，teamLab Biovortex Kyoto 不只是一个展览空间，而是一座围绕“生命与涡流”展开的数字艺术实验场。六件首批公布的作品，将自然、科技与人类关系重新编织为沉浸式的感官体验。从漂浮的高阶雕塑，到鸟群的时空整体，再到光之森林与永恒书法，这里不仅是艺术的现场，更是人与自然、人与他者互动的诗意场域。
