

密码学博物馆于2021年在莫斯科开幕,致力于数据加密和传输时间轴的研究。Radugadesign 为博物馆的常设展览构思并制作了三个装置。
Opened in Moscow in 2021, the Cryptography Museum is dedicated to data encryption and transmission timeline research. Radugadesign created the concepts and produced three installations for the museum’s permanent exhibition.
01 沉浸式沟通走廊 / Communication Immession Corridor
“沉浸式沟通走廊”将我们身边每天涌动的密集信息流可视化。该装置位于博物馆导览的起点,完美地引导了整个展览。
The Communication Immersion Corridor visualizes dense information flow that surges around us every day. Placed at the beginning of the tour over the museum, the installation makes a perfect introduction to the exposition.



来自即时通讯、社交媒体、电子邮件和银行应用程序的无休止推送通知,其画面和声音不断变化,汇聚成汹涌的浪潮。在走廊尽头的镜子中,这些浪潮被反射出来,象征着我们所处的汹涌数据洪流。
Dynamically changing images and sounds of never-ending push notifications from messengers, social media, emails, and bank apps merge into rushing waves. Reflected in the mirror at the end of the corridor, they represent the overwhelming stream of data we live in.

该装置位于博物馆参观路线的起点,成为展览的完美开篇。
Placed at the beginning of the tour over the museum, the installation makes a perfect introduction to the exposition.
02 密码学的一天 / One Day in Cryptography
《密码学的一天》是一件交互式装置,呈现了我们每天进行的数据加密与传输流程。
One Day in Cryptography is an interactive installation visualizing data encryption and transmission routine accomplished by each of us on a daily basis.

动画跟随一个角色,展现他日常生活的典型活动:起床、乘坐地铁、打电话和发送电子邮件。
The animation follows a character through his typical daily activities. He wakes up, travels on the subway, talks over the phone and sends emails.
墙上投影有按钮,这些按钮由 3D 激光雷达传感器控制。
There are buttons projected on the wall that are controlled by a 3D LIDAR sensor.

触碰这些按钮,参观者可以激活一个或多个场景,观看关于日常生活中隐藏的数据与加密过程的短动画。By touching them, visitors can activate one or several scenes and watch short animations about data and cryptographic processes hidden inside their everyday routines.
03 频率分析 / Frequency Analysis.
多媒体互动展台位于“原始密码学”展区,该展区讲述了最早的加密方法与文字系统的历史。这套装置包含两个部分,向参观者介绍了最古老的密码分析方法之一——频率分析法。
The multimedia interactive stand is located in the Proto Cryptography exhibition area, which tells about the oldest methods of encryption and history of the writing systems. The installation comprises two parts and introduces visitors to one of the oldest cryptanalysis methods — frequency analysis.

第一部分解释了什么是频率分析以及它如何影响了密码学。这种方法基于一个事实:在不同的书面语言文本中,某些字母或字母组合出现的频率各不相同。
The first part explains what frequency analysis is and how it has influenced cryptography. This method is based on the fact that, in different texts of written language, a certain letter or combinations of letters occur with varying frequencies.

某种语言的字母分布特征在几乎所有样本中都大致相同。因此,频率分析可用于解密信息、破译古人的文字以及鉴定文本作者身份。
A characteristic distribution of letters appears to be roughly the same for almost all samples of that language. Therefore, frequency analysis can be used to decrypt messages, decipher the writing of ancient peoples, and identify authorship of a text.

该装置的互动部分是一段带有控制面板的视频投影。按钮上标有拉丁字母和西里尔字母。
The interactive part of the installation is a video projection with a control panel. Its buttons feature letters from Latin and Cyrillic alphabets.
