空间里充满了自由浮动的球体。人们拨开球体，并进入空间。
The space is filled with freely floating spheres. People part their way through them and step inside.

随着颜色的不断改变，空间通过球的集合体在立体与平面之间反复变化。
球体，因为人们用手拨开时，或被拍打时受到冲击，会改变颜色并发出特有的音色。它周围的球体，从附近的球体开始呈放射状的在三维空间里作出连锁反应，将相同的颜色和相同的音调不断传播开来。
随着颜色的变化，空间就不断的在由一堆球所形成的立体物和由色彩所形成的平面里交叉穿梭。
As hues shift endlessly, the space oscillates between three-dimensionality and flatness through the collective of spheres. When a sphere is brushed aside, tapped, or jostled, it blooms into new color and hums a distinct tone. From there, a radial chain reaction ripples through the surrounding spheres in three dimensions—spreading the same hue, the same note, outward and onward. With each color’s rise and fall, the space weaves between a sculptural mass of spheres and a planar field of pure color, forever in flux.

即使每个球体自由移动，空间整体的光线变化会保持统一步调（整体看来，空间是将每一个球视为一个点所形成的三维空间的影像）。因此，呈现为一组的光的各种形态可以说是一个完整的立体存在。这次是以受到冲击的球体为中心，且光线呈球状向外进行扩张。
Though each sphere drifts freely, the space’s overall play of light stays in unison—seen as a whole, the space becomes a three-dimensional image, each sphere a single dot. Thus, the varied forms of light, grouped as one, amount to a complete, solid presence. Here, light expands outward in a spherical wave, centered on the sphere that felt the impact.

然后，因为这个立体存在的构成要素—球体的物理位置是自由的，人们意识到这是个完整的立体物体的同时，将球体拨开，将自身融入这个立体物体之中。
浮游的球的集合所形成的空间的形状，会因为人的行为（拍打或者碰撞）而发生变化。然后，因为球的集合和交织的不同状态，上空的风扇所产生的风和气压变化，让低空的球体形成高密度集合，随后又会一起上升，空间也会将自身的形状不断改变。
And yet, the spheres—free to drift as the building blocks of this solid form—let people perceive its wholeness even as they brush them aside to step into its midst. The space, shaped by these floating spheres, shifts with human touch: a tap, a nudge, a brush. And as the spheres cluster and interweave in ever-changing patterns, wind and shifts in air pressure from overhead fans cause the lower spheres to mass densely, then rise in unison. So the space remakes its form anew, again and again.

近代以前，在日本被称为“重叠的色彩”，表面的色彩和背后的色彩相组合（当时的绢很薄，所以里面的颜色可以透过表面的绢而显现出来，层层叠加而形成了复杂的颜色），给重叠的渐变色彩，暧昧的色彩赋予季节性的颜色名称。球体会在因为发光而出现的新的9种颜色（水中之光，透过水草的阳光，朝霞，早晨的天空，黄昏的天空，桃的果实，梅子的果实，花菖蒲，春天的枫叶）以及把空间平面化的3种颜色（蓝、红、绿）等共计12种颜色中不断变换。
Before modern times in Japan, there was “layered hues”—a play of surface and undercolor. Thin silk let the hue beneath show through the one above, weaving complex tones; these soft, blended gradients bore names tied to the seasons. The spheres shift through twelve colors: nine born of light—light through water, sunlight filtered by aquatic plants, dawn glow, morning sky, evening sky, peach, plum, iris, spring maple—and three that flatten the space: blue, red, green.
